Honeymoon Tour (9 nights 10 days)

Day 01: Arrival in Paro then transfer to Thimphu (2,320m/7,610ft): 54 km, 1 hour

 Meal: Welcome Dinner

Arrival at Paro airport, our representative escort you the hotel. If your flights arrive early, we will visit few destinations and if not, we will commence our tour from next day. Overnight at Thimphu.


Day 02: Sightseeing in Thimphu

 Meal: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

After breakfast, we will begin our tour by visiting the Memorial Chorten constructed in the memory of the late third king who ruled from 1952-1972. Following, we will explore nunnery temple, mini zoo, traditional painting school, traditional medicine institute, museum, the royal Tashicho Dzong and traditional paper factory. Overnight in Thimphu.


Day 03: Thimphu to Punakha (1,250m/4,100ft): 76 km, 2 – 3 hours 

Meal: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

After the breakfast, we will drive to the scenic Punakha through Dochu La Pass. On the way we will stop to visit the Chimi Lhankhang- temple. As we reach Punakha, we will head to visit the Punakha Dzong – second largest and oldest Dzong of Bhutan constructed in 1637- 1638. Overnight in Punakha.


Day 04: Sightseeing in Punakha

 Meal: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

After breakfast we will be visiting eye- catching Khamsum Yulley Namgyal chorten located on the top of the hill. Following, we will take a walk through the paddy field at Ritsha village, famously known for growing vast amount of rice and also explore the local culture and their lifestyles. Overnight in Punakha.


Day 05: Punakha to Bumthang (2,850m/9,350ft): 214 km, 7 hours

 Meal: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

After the breakfast, we will drive to eastern part of Bhutan and the most sacred place Bumthang. We will cross the Pele La pass which is at 3300 meters.  On the way, we will get to experience the fascinating view of forest and trees. We will have our lunch at Trongsa and make visit to Trongsa Dzong. Then we continue our drive to Bumthang and stop at textile factory and observe the weavers designing different unique patterns. Overnight in Bumthang.


Day 06: Sightseeing in Bumthang

 Meal: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

Bumthang is considered one of the holy regions of Bhutan as we can find lots of sacred temples, monasteries and all. We will visit Kurje, Tamshing and Jambay temples. Following that we will sightsee Jakar Dzong constructed in 15th century and Wangdicholing Dzong built in 1857. Overnight in Bumthang.


Day 07: Bumthang to Wangdue (1,240m/4,068ft): 197 km, 6 hours

 Meal: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

Today we will begin our tour at the Bumthang market and drive towards Wangdue. On the way to Wangdue, we will explore the beautiful Phobjikha valley also known as a home of rare black necked cranes. Wangdue village is also recognized for stone carvings. Overnight in Wangdue.


Day 08: Wangdue to Paro: 124 km, 3 – 4 hours

 Meal: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

After breakfast, we will return to Paro and on the way we will visit through Chimi Lhakhang- temple. We will stop at Dochu La Pass for lunch and after the lunch we will be visiting the Druk Wangyal monastery. Then we will proceed to continue our drive to Paro. Overnight in Paro.


Day 09: Hike to Tiger Nest Monastery (3180m/10,430 ft.)

Meal: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

Today we will hike to Taktsang monastery which is also termed as Tiger Nest monastery. The hike will take 4-5 hours walk.  Lunch will be served at the restaurants which is located at midway up to the mountain. After having lunch and exploring the monastery we will return to the valley and head to Paro. Overnight in Paro.


Day 10: Final Departure

Meal: Breakfast

Today as your journey comes to an end, we will drop you at the airport three hours prior to your flight departure. Have a great day.
