Overview

Day 1 | Arrival in Paro & Drive to Thimphu

Objective: Acclimatize to Bhutan's altitude and explore the capital city.

Day 2 | Explore Bird Habitat in Thimphu

Objective: Discover Bhutan's rich birdlife and natural beauty.

Day 3 | Thimphu to Punakha Valley

Enjoy a scenic drive over Dochula Pass, where you will stop to admire panoramic views and high-altitude birds such as the Blood Pheasant and Himalayan Monal. Upon arrival in Punakha, explore the magnificent Punakha Dzong, one of Bhutan’s most beautiful fortresses.

Day 4 | Punakha City

Begin your day with a morning birding excursion along the Mo Chhu River, looking for the rare White-bellied Heron. Later, visit Chimi Lhakhang, the famous fertility temple, and immerse yourself in the breathtaking landscapes of Punakha.

Day 5 | Drive from Punakha to Phobjikha

Embark on a scenic drive to Phobjikha Valley, known for its pristine environment and as the winter home of the Black-necked Crane. Enjoy an afternoon birdwatching session and visit the Gangtey Monastery.

Day 6 | Phobjikha to Paro Valley

Wake up to the peaceful ambiance of Phobjikha and spend the morning observing its birdlife. Later, return to Paro, where you can relax or explore the town’s cultural attractions.

Day 7 | Hike to Tiger's Nest Monastery

Embark on the iconic hike to Tiger’s Nest Monastery, perched dramatically on a cliffside. Enjoy stunning views along the way and learn about Bhutan’s spiritual history.

Day 8 | Depart Paro by Air

Conclude your journey with a relaxed morning in Paro before transferring to the airport for departure, taking with you unforgettable memories of Bhutan’s culture and wildlife.
