Day 1: Arrival and Sightseeing in Paro (2250m / 7382ft)
Upon arrival, a team member will escort you to your hotel. After some rest, begin the tour with visits to Rinpung Dzong, Kyichu Lhakhang, and Drugyel Dzong.
Included Activities:
- Rinpung Dzong: A large Buddhist monastery built in 1644, famous for its stunning architecture and the annual Paro Tsechu festival.
- Kyichu Lhakhang: One of Bhutan’s oldest temples, built in the 7th century, known for its spiritual treasures and year-round fruit-bearing orange trees.
- Drugyel Dzong: A historic fortress built in 1649 to commemorate Bhutan’s victory over Tibetan invaders.
Day 2: Paro to Thimphu (54 km)
After an early breakfast, start the hike to Taktsang Monastery, the Tiger’s Nest, perched dramatically on a cliffside. After the hike, enjoy a scenic one-hour drive to Thimphu.

- Paro Taktsang: A sacred Buddhist site where Guru Padmasambhava meditated, accessible via a 4-5 hour hike.
Day 3: Sightseeing in Thimphu
Visit Thimphu’s iconic landmarks, including the Memorial Chorten, Motithang Takin Preserve, Tashichho Dzong, and the Institute of Traditional Medicine Services.

- Memorial Chorten: A stupa built in 1974 to honour the third Druk Gyalpo.
- Motithang Takin Preserve: Home to the takin, Bhutan’s national animal.
